So much for my having a quiet April: Doveman has added Aaron Dessner and Bryan Devendorf to the line-up of the first Burgundy Stain Session of 2012. NYC-area fans of The National: heads up. Every time I’ve seen a favorite artist of mine performing with Doveman as part of this residency, it has been terrific — musicians show up to hang out onstage with Thomas, and songs happen, and you get to watch.
$15. Yep.

He and Sam Amidon are the support band for a gig I’m going to next month (Hannah Cohen) I’m not sure how I feel about his vocals to be honest (I have to be in the mood for “soft” but I love watching him play the keyboard

how many have you gone to? i love him. unfortunately it seems he doesn’t do much of his own stuff at them (not that i’d be able to go anyway)
